April Graffeo

Salon Owner, Top Stylist and Make-up Artist

In 1997, April Graffeo's opened Indra Salon and City Spa and has been building her reputation and skills ever since. Leading a team of 36 staff members, April has earned her title as gifted stylist and entrepreneur having successfully grown Indra into one of the top rated salons north of Boston, solidifying a spot in Boston Magazine’s coveted Best of Boston 2007 issue. April is a graduate of the Aveda Business College and is highly trained in theatrical hair and makeup and foil technique, but it’s her savvy business practices and keen entrepreneurial sense that have been celebrated with two nominations for a Global Salon Business Award. In 2008, April was profiled for Magic 106.7’s weekly show, Exception Women. April’s knowledge of the competitive business world has led to features in Modern Salon Magazine, Salon Today and Chairtalk.

Some of her celebrity clientele include Michelle Philips, Magic 106.7’s Candy O’Terry, T.V. Diner host Jennie Johnson, football legend Doug Flutie and baseball great Mo Vaghan. April’s work has been showcased in New England Bride Magazine, Platinum, Northshore Magazine and Mirror. As a former New England Patriots cheerleader, April was thrilled to style the 1998-2002 calendars and the NFL yearbook.

Jose Batistine

Co-owner, Top Stylist

Jose Batistine, co-owner of Indra Salon and City Spa, was recently named one of the top Latino hairstylists in the nation by Latina Magazine. Known to his clients as "the hair God" it's no surprise that his work has been showcased in Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston, Passion Magazine, Northshore Magazine, Mirror, Guitar Magazine, Stuff@Night, In Places, and on the TLC Network's A Makeover Story. Making clients feel beautiful inside and out is only part of what Jose brings to the Indra Salon experience. He is the creator of the Zone One 12 Fundamentals Training Program, a teaching method that highlights leadership, mentorship and skill development for staff members. Featured in Chairtalk, this unique apprenticeship-based advanced education program has made Indra Salon and City Spa an industry leader, and Jose a champion among his colleagues.

Jose believes true leaders give back. He is deeply involved in Indra's numerous charity events. His celebrity clients include Magic 106.7's Candy O'Terry, FOX 25 anchor Maria Stephanos, arts & entertainment critic Joyce Kulhawik, Liz Shriver, TV Diner co-host Jennie Johnson, God Smack and Suzie Castillo, the former Miss USA.
